Pretty as a Peach

Here at SwG, we are always excited to see new collections that spring up from any of our favourite brands. So when Too Faced recently launched their Sweet Peach range, we were all eager to see what the new products held in store... and we were not disappointed!

Their blusher in the collection (Papa Don't Peach) truly is just a perfect shade of peach... an ultra wearable colour for pretty much any skin tone that will look especially gorgeous when used for wedding makeup. Pinks and bronzes are beautiful, but there is something so natural and glowing about a peachy tone, especially for fairer skin.

Perfect Nude Shades

PERFECT NUDE SHADES:

Lipsticks, lip balms, lip glosses, liquid lipsticks.... you name it, we love it! Makeup is always fun, but there is something about lip colour that is so very versatile and there's always a shade to suit everyone - especially when it comes to nude lip colours .

Just as we all keep an eye out for the perfect LBD, we all keep our eyes open for the perfect 'my lips, but better' colour to take us from day time to night time chic. Here are my current collection of perfect nudes:

The Importance of a Wedding Trial

I have regularly been asked by Brides to Be, 'Is a hair and makeup trial absolutely necessary?'. With the ever expanding costs that weddings cause and with the need to 'trim the fat' off of the final bill wherever possible (who knew flowers and cake could cost so much?!), more and more women are opting to 'wing it' on their big days and skip having a hair and makeup trial altogether. Now, I am no stranger to saving pennies and am always happy to cut costs myself in life - wherever possible, if it helps the bank balance and I get to feel the buzz of a great bargain then I am there!

Pretty in Pink Makeup Look and Demo

In sheer anticipation of the upcoming Spring season, I thought it would be a nice idea to come up with a fresh faced makeup look combining pretty pink and nude undertones. They are the type of colours that can be dressed up or down and worn on any occasion, day or night.

Products used for this look came from a variety of brands; MAC, Benefit, Urban Decay and Rimmel. The face was prepped with moisturiser but skipped primer as the moisturiser provided a nice sheen on my skin without the need for primer on top.

Looking Forward to 2016: News for the New Year!

Unlike most people, I LOVE January. Sure, we are all a little bit lighter of wallet and heavier of weight, but I love the newness it brings. A fresh start for a whole new year of adventures and possibilities. Like this blog for example. I am not new to the blogging industry, in fact I found writing a blog during my recent maternity leave very therapeutic and beneficial in preventing me from feeling like my brain was turning to mulch through sleep deprivation and nappy changes!

But, for this blog, I am dedicating the content to all things relevant to Style with Grace plus the hair and beauty industry.
